
- The process begins with IKONICS producing a photo-tool generated using customer-submitted artwork (pattern artwork), which may be e-mailed to AMS at info@ikonicsindustrial.com
- Using the photo-tool, IKONICS photo-processes the pattern artwork, resulting in the production of a patented sandblast resist photo mask.
- The sandblast resist material is sent to the customer for application onto the composite material for perforating. (Acoustic perforating is one application; there are many other applications.)
- After the customer applies the mask to the part, the material can be efficiently, quickly and accurately sandblasted.
- After sandblasting, the mask is removed from the composite work piece, revealing a precisely machined part, ready for the next phase of production.
